Groups and the challenge
What's the difference between groups and individuals?
The main difference between groups and individuals is that groups also compete on the group leader board as well as the individuals leader board.
The groups leader board is the combined total of all the group members minutes.
Is there any difference between taking the challenge as a group or as an individual?
In the most part, no. Each member still enters their minutes as normal with the web site calculating the totals for the group for you.
The main difference however is that all group members must start and finish the challenge together. Therefore if you are part of a group you will not be able to start the challenge, ONLY the group leader can start and end the challenge for the group.
I've just joined a group, but they have already started their challenge. When can I start my challenge?
Unfortunately as the group has started their challenge you must now wait until the group finishes the challenge they are already on and starts a fresh one.
If however you want to start your own challenge, you can just leave the group and start a challenge as an individual. You can always rejoin the group at some point in the future when both your challenges have finished.
Some of our friends want to try the challenge but don't have internet access. Is there anyway for them to join?
Yes certainly. Group leaders have the option of adding non-email members to the group before each challenge is started.
Instead of entering there minutes online they will need to inform the group leader what activities they have undertaken. The group leader can then enter these activities into the web site for them.
We recommend that the non-email members write down the activities in small diary or note pad every day and hand the list to the group leader on a regular basis.
When can i leave a group?
You can leave your group at any time you wish. If your group is currently on a challenge your tie with the group will be severed however your challenge will continue on unaffected.
However all your minutes will be removed from the group total, including those entered before you left. This will significantly reduce the groups total.
Once separated from the group you will be able to start and end the challenge in your own time or join another group if you so wish.
