Wholegrain foods contain far more fibre and other nutrients than white or refined starchy foods.
We also digest wholegrain foods much more slowly, which in turn then make us feel fuller for longer - which may help you get through to lunch time!
Whole grain foods include:
- wholemeal and wholegrain bread, pitta and chapatti
- wholewheat pasta and brown rice
- wholegrain breakfast cereals.
Top tip - Try to choose wholegrain varieties whenever you can!
